Why vote for me? I believe you should vote for me because I posses a combination of integrity, judgment, commitment, leadership and experience needed for this Board to deliver the quality of education that our children deserve and that our community demands.

CHARACTER

Just as important as recognizing what is the right thing to do is having the ethics to actually do it. I am known to be a person of character, and I pledge to you that I will continue to live up to that reputation. I will demand no less from others on the Prince George’s County Board of Education and the leadership of our great school system.

JUDGMENT

Both personally and professionally, I am known as a person on whom the community can rely upon to make good, balanced, well-reasoned and appropriate decisions. I will apply that judgment to this office and help to ensure that the decisions of the Board of Education are in the best interests of the students and the general Prince George’s County community.

EXPERIENCE

As someone who has worked inside the school system, I know first hand the frustrations of students, parents, teachers, support personnel and administrators. I also know the potential for this system and the strong commitment of each of these groups to the school system. I know that I can help make the Prince George's County Public Schools a better system.

DEDICATION

I was born and reared in Prince George's County and I have a significant part of my professional career in service to Prince George’s County. I care deeply about both this community and the education of our children. Every personnel decision I make, every policy I put into place will reflect my commitment to ensuring that the Prince George's County Public schools is the best and most effective that it can be.

LEADERSHIP

One of the benefits of my previous service to the community and the school system is that I am known and respected. This credibility puts me in a position not only to partner with other groups and agencies to accomplish things that neither could do alone, but also to advocate for and take a lead role in obtaining the resources that we need.
